Weekend Outlook: Tiny.

We have had a great week. Small waves to finish last week refused to increase on Saturday. The swell arrived on Sunday. The south east wind turned into a light south west by afternoon. The swell was strong enough to drive through any chop. The wind dropped and went offshore for Monday. Spring tides were the only negative in an otherwise perfect couple of days. A fresh swell arrived late on Tuesday eve and carried on through Wednesday morning.

High pressure to the north east of the UK is continuing to feed warm, continental air over us. Low pressure in mid Atlantic holds promise but isn't doing it at the moment. A small south west swell is likely to continue through the weekend but it is unlikely to be anything other than tiny.

Rubbish. I wont go on but... There is no reason to ever leave your rubbish at the beach. You brought it there - you can take it away. Don't leave it at the bins in the Layby - we have limited land fill on the peninsula, take it home (and recycle what you can).

A quick note on Jet Ski misuse. If you see a jet ski exceeding wake less speed, amongst the surf at Porth Ceiriad or Porth Neigwl he is breaking the law and should be reported. I do not subscribe to the 'Nimby' philosophy of banning things but I believe correct rules and behavior are essential if we are all to get along in this world. ALL Jet Skis should have a number on the side (if they have not they are already breaking the law) and these numbers should be reported to the beach patrol if the rider is seen ignoring regulations. There are strict guidelines about 'wakeless speed' within 100metres of low tide mark and most surf is within this area. Shout, wave your hands and report those that come too close. Also if you see Jet Skis launching without numbers on the side make sure the Beach Patrol stop them.
